Burbage has two war memorials. The original is a lamppost which now stands in a small park within the village.
This memorial was erected on 26th February 1921 on the site of the original. Made of Italian marble at a cost of £460 stood on a limestone base, it shows a serviceman resting with his rifle reversed.
