Pony Trek

Another glorious March day of sunshine, so decided to head out for a walk with my camera before lunch to our local Country Park at Mugdock. Considering there have been so many days of sunshine this week I was amazed that Craigend Pond still had a layer of ice, sufficiently thick to support the weight of some seagulls that seemed to enjoy just standing around on it.

It was great to see families with picnic lunches, children on bikes, people walking their dogs, taking pictures and generally lapping up the wonderful environment with views north to the Campsie Hills and south to the West End of Glasgow. I was spoiled for choice and had the usual dilemma on a good day of what to upload. The two young riders on their gorgeous ponies won the day, over dog walkers, watery reflections and fantastic views. They encapsulated the pleasure of being out and about in the countryside on a beautiful spring day. The other subjects can wait.
