A long day

Spent all day at a Council organised event about third sector funding. Couldnt tell you what the weather outside was like. The lunch was good though, I like to know my taxes are well spent! Did I learn anything? maybe. I get so annoyed with the big funders creating the year of Homecoming, Columba Natural Scotland, when all the while most small organisations just want a wee puckle of pennies to get a picnik bench or some goal posts for their village. The big funders only want to fund ridnokulous ideas that they say helps attract people to Scotland! Well Ive got news for them...people come to Scotland to see our landscape, our nature not to go to some cock a mamee event involving painting the outsides of buildings or banging samba drums on some castle battlements!
Its time we went back to grass roots and allowed the wee organisations who work away quietly orgasining gala days etc and give thm a hand.
