Le Racou
The follow up appointment with the surgeon did not take long so we were able to spend most of the day down at the coast. We stopped at the lake behind the beach at Saint-Cyprien. It is not the right time of the year for the flamingos but Canigou still looked good in the haze. We walked the coast path from Le Racou, once a fishing village with its three streets of houses built on the sand. The houses are mostly holiday homes now but they are still unusual and quaint. We called in at Decathlon on the way back as I needed new hiking boots and Mrs TT new trainers and a light rucksack.
