Blue Armchair

You might have noticed from my last couple of blips that I'm quite partial to a painterly effect, so the Abstract Thursday theme today was right up my street. As was this armchair we spotted in a back garden on our walk this afternoon.

Having mentioned the FIL yesterday for the first time in a while it was a bit of a shock to get a phone call from the care home at 2am this morning to report that he's had another fall. This time it sounds quite serious as he has been admitted to hospital again. We had a call this morning from a surgeon to say that he probably needs a half hip replacement, which they are planning on doing tomorrow! He's 91 now, and it is a risky procedure at that age, but it has to be done.
