Getting Ready

It was Cosmosellie that prompted me to think about getting ready for 2021 garden time. Today seemed like the perfect time, very mild again, sunny, but not too warm for digging.
I dug over the vegetable patch, up to the rocket as there is some self seeded rocket coming up, and spread a bag of home made compost over the top of it. Hopefully we'll have some rain and maybe frost to break up the soil I've dug over and wash some of the compost goodness into the soil.
I also prepared a small seed tray with some bought peaty compost and got a 'Picollo' tomato out of the fridge, cut it open and spread the seeds. Topped it off with more compost, water and into the small plastic greenhouse thing. It worked last year with great success using a fresh tomato, fingers crossed that it wasn't a fluke.
