Black & Gold

Today's image was taken after I had dropped by brother off at the station. There had been a lovely sunrise but just as I was about to leave to go back home the light changed to this golden hue and really accentuated the silhouetted trees.

The title also reminded me of a song of the same name by an Australian singer called Sam Sparro. It explores the relationship between reason, spirituality and love. It was a bit a one hit wonder back in 2008 but it must have made an impression because I still  remember it 12 years later! I even watched the video again online - fabulously stylish.

I did more baking today - I made a 99% vegan (I used 4 tablespoons of cow's milk in the filling instead of oat milk) rhubarb and pistachio tart. I hope the vegan police won't come after me!
