Day338 Sunrise

Today began with a rather nice sunrise and I took this quick shot from the bedroom window with my phone.  The crane has turned round yet again and I think that soon I'll have photographed it on nearly every possible position.

The extra is a collage of Violet doing a science experiment.  As last week was half term she wasn't here to do her usual Wednesday experiment so today is an extra one.  We began by using the proper slime provided and Violet tried handling it in different ways which of course she loves.  The second task was to make our own which was not a success!  The colour was lovely but the mixture of PVA glue and cornflour was just too sticky to handle.  A bit of research on Google tells us that a magic ingredient is branded contact lens solution so another day we're going to have another go with slightly different ingredients.
Thames Water returned today...with the team that just fills in the holes with soil.  Another team puts down tarmac and a third repairs the drive.  The tarmac will be the pavement only and we rather think that we'll decline the driveway repair as they broke in half the two paving slabs in the side passageway, while getting them up!
