I spent about two seconds outdoors today. It was foul all day and still teeming down. Work felt heavy.

Much as I agree with local occupancy clauses in this area I’ve been baffled by the two I have come up against in the last 24 hours. One requires 3 years prior residency but someone has been able to submit an offer and engage in a bidding ‘war’ even though they don’t qualify until May. The other has me living 0.3 miles outside the qualifying area and having lived and worked as a ‘key’ worker here for many years I am not able to apply ... or, at least, withdrew my interest because I declared myself ineligible (even though the area is so restricted the only other eligible residents are likely to be sheep).
Oh well ...
