Oak Leaf

The wind has become increasingly strong and blustery as the day has progressed. We were fortunate to walk slightly earlier today before it became uncomfortably buffeting. 
Pilates this morning followed by duets with Bill. We started work on Blue Rondo a la Turk by Dave Brubeck. It is in 9/8 time and progresses through rhythmic variations of this unusual time signature with insistent repetitive patterns. Fun and challenging.
A trip this afternoon to the refuse site to get rid of the garden waste that has accumulated. It is too windy to try to do anymore in the garden today so will catch up on a few other tasks.
I am feeling cautiously optimistic about what is in the Covid 'roadmap' but am not sure how far the government will follow what they have said and find the reporting by the mainstream media and pressure for a speedier lifting of restrictions is driven by self interest and highly selective in what they choose to emphasise. Even with the vaccine we could see an increase again in transmission of the virus and serious illnesses and deaths.
