Dr Johnson’s Birthplace Museum

It’s two weeks and four days since I had my jab and I decided I couldn’t put off banking those membership cheques any longer. 

The light was sparkling and the wind was quite sharp. The centre of Lichfield was quiet, and I noticed that most people were wearing masks as they walked around, not just reaching for them as they entered somewhere.

The bank felt safe and they were lovely. 

I decided to stroll a little before heading back home and I enjoyed walking by the cathedral pool and having a few socially distanced conversations (one with the owner of a gorgeous 12 week old fluffy German Shepherd)

I’m still confused about when we can drive a little further away from home - something I’ll welcome as I love walking in the grounds of our splendid stately homes. However, it may not be too long now until I can meet up with a friend for a coffee............
