Rehearsal

Today’s Blip is courtesy of I., who liked the look of the light through her music during the virtual Monday night rehearsal. They’re playing a piece from Swan Lake, though she'd muted Zoom much of the time and was practicing her own stuff. Boxes and books on her desk to elevate the laptop/video camera. I’d gotten out a few favorite kids’ books the other day, including a version of Swan Lake that I love for the gorgeous illustrations, and was down the hall leafing through that.

Beautiful snowfall this morning, followed by sleet and rain and slightly higher temps. We drove to the school where I. had an appointment to do her handprint on the wall in the orchestra room. Saw a couple cars that had slid off the road.

The National Cathedral’s deep funeral bell tolled 500 times today to signify and mark half a million deaths. It makes me shudder. So many would completely fill another Arlington National Cemetery.
