Cemetery snowdrops
Following a zoom conversation on Sunday I headed today to a local cemetery: Newington Cemetery.
I grew up in a house that backed onto the cemetery but as the entrance was way round the other side I rarely visited it. The last time I recall was when my younger brother’s budgie flew away over the wall: it was recovered safely a day or so later.
I’ve certainly not been there for decades. It was mentioned in conversation as having a great display of snowdrops so I headed off for a look. I’d also been told that it was very muddy. Both messages were true.
The extra gives a wider view but the stars were these flowers shining in the sunshine.
