A Place in the Sun!

9°C  -  15 mph WSW Wind Speed  -  21 mph Gusts  -  Sunny all day.  Nice change in the weather  -  did a bit more weeding.  Jon, next door but one, was having a bonfire, so things must be drying out a bit!  Pottered about indoors looking for a particular photograph  -  haven’t found it but came a cross this old Christmas card sent to me years ago from friends in Singapore.  I lived there for many years and remember that time of happiness  -  well, it did have its plusses and minuses!  Minuses were jumping spiders the size of little birds in the bedroom, little chik-chak geckos who seemed to think my wardrobe was their home, and beastly cockroaches crawling up my kitchen wall.  However, there were great plusses like Chinese New Year celebrations, G & Ts in the Raffles Hotel, and playing Mahjong with Mr Lee and his wife every Monday night.  Haven’t played Mahjong for YEARS!!  Would be nice to have those times back again!  Lockdown seems to make them more precious than ever before!
