The big earthquake hit Christchurch this day 10 years ago.
Hard to believe it really.
185 people were killed.

Ella’s lived exactly half her life in a city being rebuilt. She can’t remember what the city was like in places before the earthquake hit. Interestingly it doesn’t bother her, she likes the new vibe of the inner city area as do most of her peers. I miss the historic buildings we had.

Lots of emotional events around the city today.

I don't like to think about it all too hard as it makes me feel anxious and scared still.
