Petrified forest

A mild and sunny day. Took B to Redcar to meet D while I walked on the beach. Lots of people everywhere enjoying the weather, some even sampling the local lemon top ice cream.

Recent storms had uncovered the petrified forest on the beach. Large pieces of wood were visible. It was sometimes difficult to tell the wood from the rocks. Interesting to picture the area when the forest grew there.
