Reused Posts/ Shrove Tuesday

These gate posts in Minterne Magna are steps from the ancient abbey at Cerne Abbas stood up - originally they must have been part of a stone spiral staircase .
We had a beautiful peaceful walk around the gardens - there was hardly anyone here again . The snowdrops were much further advanced and the aconites brightened up a cloudy afternoon.
The day started with sourdough pancakes cooked by Stan - delicious!!
