Winging through Winter

fueled in flight by
waters warmed
for frigid days of
winging, wishing
your way over
snow buried earth
under which lie
your heart’s desire,
fat, juicy earthworms
asleep, awaiting days
of lengthened light

For the Record, 
This day came in very cold with temps in the teens.The winter sun has warmed things up as the snow melts off the trees. We have rain on the way I think which will make things very messy.
