Cranes

Today is a fitting sequel to yesterday - even sunnier, with more gardening, and the cats came out a little further as well (which P blipped here ).

Then I heard the cranes. First one, then a second flock in V-formation coming from the southwest, circling just over us to gain more altitude, and flying on northeastwards over the Taunus hills. 

They are one of my favourite signs of spring. Another one is the chorus of birds I listened to, early this morning through the open bedroom window.
