Mt. Fromme peak - no views today but still a rewarding five-hour hike with fog and the snow in the upper levels. 

The elevation gain was some 900m and we did our own off trail route in the lower parts, then joined the main trail in the upper part. Climbing up with the help of poles but no snowshoes or spikes. Coming down the steep snowy portions we just let go and ran. I'd forgotten how exhilarating it can be.
