Skagit Reeds

I've been struggling lately with my painting, not finding a new direction easily.  So this week I started to do some random paintings, working more freely and seeing what comes up. I find myself saying to myself that I'm searching for "my voice" and I'm going to keep searching. So here is a painting of a patch of reeds up in Skagit county near here.  I've tried this many times and never liked anything I've done, but this pleases me.
