A miner's mug.

My sister lives in Derbyshire, not far from the tin mining area .She gave me this miniature version of a miner's mug. It has three handles.I can only think that having three handles makes it easier to pass it from one man to another when they are having a beverage of some kind ,in the mine.I has a special name, but unfortunately I have forgotten what it is.
