Reasons to be cheerful

A pretty cheerless day so I decided to use these wonderful pics of Jude who is 5 months old tomorrow. She likes to be sat up but isn’t actual able to yet unaided follow clockwise  and then, oops down she goes. How did that happen? She looks surprised.

Extra - Speedy Eda - the girl has style! What joy they both are.

More cheerfulness - I decided to watch Edie on catch up. We’ve seen it at the cinema. It’s a rather sad story about an elderly lady who hasn’t had a very happy life (Sheila Hancock) and as her daughter tries to book her into a care home she sets off to climb a mountain that’s she’s always wanted to. The mountain is Suilvan in Assynt and the scenery is sublime. There is even a scene shot on Achnahaird beach. How appropriate then that I should get an email from SiL John’s uncle saying we could have a week at the ‘wee hoose’ in June. We had asked and he said to get back to him at the end of February when he’d sorted all the family out (it is not commercially let).
Anyway he got back to us and as it is the week before our family go we will be able to overlap for a day or two. Tagged on a couple of nights b&b as we can’t all get comfortably in the house and the place we stayed down the road last summer is fully booked. I did find somewhere a bit further away but, as per predicted in my e magazine ‘Walk the Highlands’ accommodation in Scotland is going to be hard to come by this year.

Non of this may happen of course (the b&b can be cancelled up to two days before) but it is certainly something to cheer up a miserable Saturday!

If you wonder why we keep going to the same place each year I recommend you watch Edie if only for the scenery, on the cinema screen it was stunning.

Happy days!
