Crucifix

It's Lent! 

No list of things to give up on Shrove Tuesday, and no farewell to treats.
No ashes on Ash Wednesday.
No giving up meat on Friday.
Christmas cards still on the mantel.

No church, no mass, no nuthin'.

Only this crucifix on a rosary on a bedroom lamp.
That will have to do.

I remember that I am dust, and to dust I shall return.

I await my second Covid jab.
