Pink Flannel Flowers

These incredible Pink Flannel Flowers are quite a phenomenon in the Blue Mountains at the moment.  They are out in profusion in some of the areas that were affected by the fires last summer.  The think is, they only appear under certain conditions and a VERY hot burn is the main criteria.  They also only seem to show up in a particular type of vegetation.  Rocky areas with low growing vegetation such as the smaller pieces of Banksias.  We had a wonderful time out at Narrow Neck.  So pleased we had this opportunity to see them but not that keen to see those ferocious fires again.
