This is the largest wooden office building in the Southern Hemisphere, complete today with a Pohukawa tree that is very late blooming so became todays Blip. 
"With imposing facades, sweeping staircases , cast iron fireplaces and Kauri clad interiors  its an important part of our architecdtural heritage" 
And  it looks great too.
A super day where we (The Bossess, The Boss and ME) staggered to our favourite furniture store. Its always a worry when you get greeted by your first name entering a furniture store, and so it was today where the absolute last of our refunded Swiss travel air fares got converted into really nice furniture. There are of course Cafes in Wellington convieniently located on the way there AND back.
