Lock-down has given opportunities for bizarre projects, my latest is a study of the causes of failure in wheelbarrows!
We have five 'failed' wheelbarrows, some of which have been used to good effect as plant containers in the yard and garden.  Most of these have become unusable due to the 'leg' wearing away from skidding across concrete as the barrow comes in to land like a budget airline's aircraft.  Less wearing is the 'helicopter' approach, which ensures that forward motion of the barrow has stopped before the handles are lowered.
In the blip, the further away barrow shows the foot being warn away to a hole, which will increase in size until the weight in the barrow causes it to break, leaving one handle flapping freely.  The feet of the nearer barrow have been reinforced during manufacture with a sacrifice piece of iron, which should prolong it's life, but unfortunately it was fitted with a poorly galvanised body that has almost totally disintegrated from transporting the cleanings from the ponies' stables. A replacement plastic body is being sought.
