Deep Purple

I’m just so grateful that it’s Friday and a flower is the ideal Blip. It’s rained incessantly, and my only venture outside is to photograph these crocus blooms. 

They’re yet to open - obviously - the petals tightly wrapped around what I presume will be a burst of saffron. These inner secrets will, I’m sure, feature in future blips. For now, however, it’s their deep purple richness, jewelled with raindrops that catches my attention, and makes a gentle soaking worth it.
