Flowers on Friday

It was December 30th that I have made the blip of this flower bud and the bud grew into a summerly flower. Isn't it a Marigold? I think it is. Well, it didn't survive last weekend's cold.

This morning I started painting ceilings and walls of the stairwell. It's a lot of work and I don't know if I'll be able to get everything from the attic to the front door done this weekend. I can only paint until my hands can no longer hold the brush.

The last few days I often hear and see cranes flying over on their way to the northeast. It's a good sign, though you might wonder if they're not mistaken.
