Citrine Earthball

The spaniel had his annual inoculations this morning. Since his back operation a couple of years ago he has been terrified of the Vets' surgery. This year the vet decided to come out and inject him in the car park. 

A walk on the common afterwards to restore his equilibrium (the spaniel, not the vet). All I could find of interest was this decaying Common or Citrine Earthball, its black spore mass oozing out of the ruptured skin.
