The Roaring 40s
Delving back into the past once again as my afternoon was spent mainly looking and sorting through old photos belonging to Mum and Dad. My mum is on the right and the lady on the left is my Aunty Jean, my Dad's youngest sister who he was very close to. There was a gang of them that used to spend time together in Auchterarder and Blackford.
This was taken in 1949, somewhere near the sea obviously. I see two lovely woollen suits almost identical and also the case for my Dad's box brownie, which I still have, that he got for his 21st birthday in 1947.
Feeling nostalgic for the days that folks didn't go around looking like slobs LOL!
