BOOTS THE CHEMIST

A good and much needed Tai Chi session this morning.  

Then I discovered that my 89 year old mother still hasn't received her repeat prescription, which is now 2 days late and she has no pills left.
She has phoned 3 times this week already and keeps being fobbed off.  As her hearing is not great she gets very stressed have to keep ringing them.  She actually pays £52 per year to have them delivered as it is now just that bit too far for her to walk.

The chemist was great when it was independent but now Boots have taken it over they don't know whether they are coming or going.  They keep blaming it on the surgery saying they haven't sent it the repeat prescription through. 

She also has two medications on the prescription, one of which she doesn't need any more she has repeatedly advised them and The Surgery to take it off and yet every month, after she has battled to get them delivered they always send the two.  What a waste of public money!!!

Anyway they have just now, at 2:30 this afternoon delivered them.  I  have been promised 3 times today that they would be with her as she was supposed to take a pill with breakfast this morning.  She has a very upset stomach now, partly due to being so delayed but partly because it all upsets her so much. They're only two days late. 

Anyway - I'm now practising the Mindfulness sessions that I'm currently learning and keeping calm about it all.  I will fix it and may have to get Mum's MP involved but that is for the future and not now.

PHEW - RANT OVER.  Sorry for that but it's god to get it out of the system.
