A day of driving. Cattle fed then loaded up the 4 bullocks for the store sale at St Boswell’s . 2 dogs and Littlemiss along for the ride as well. Same as Monday, drop and go. Trailer washed out then headed to mechanic pal’s to collect an oil filter for one of the tractors and as I was there ended up bringing next door neighbour’s quad bike home for them in the trailer.
Spent the afternoon hauling more dung out of wee brother’s shed so he can get more sheep housed. All going to plan until a hydraulic hose burst on the trailer. So headed off with Littlemiss and 2 dogs again to get a new hose made up and 40 litres of expensive hydraulic oil . Back home by 6 pm in time to do all the other jobs I haven’t been at home all day to do !
Got a text with today’s cattle prices. Seemingly my big black limousin blk topped the sale at £1410.
This big spider web was in the grain shed while I was bruising barley tonight ready for tomorrow . Luckily didn’t see the spider to go with it
