Witch Hazel blossom

Three weeks ago I saw the first blossom begin to break out on the wee Witch Hazel and photographed it for my Blip. Today the whole shrub was covered in lovely yellow spidery flowers. It's a delight to have such a splash of colour in the garden at this time of year.

I spent the afternoon sorting through more of my late Dad's slides. I'm being quite ruthless, keeping only ones that are very special to me as there are thousands, literally. I plan to scan the ones I save so that I can keep an electronic version of them and give some to various family members. However, it could be some time until I get to that stage.
