Postal union

This is another stamp marking the Universal Postal Union. It was issued 25 years after yesterday's and now marks one century. In 4 years time it will be a century and a half. Yesterday's stamp had a face value of just over 1 new pence (converted), this one has a value of 3.5 new pence, and I wonder what the next one will have one it?

Until the company was sold, P&O had a very unusual corporate structure and wasn't like any other normal company at all.

By 1974 I had been joined by my baby brother and would be enjoying my mornings away from him at nursery school. Apparently we never got on well even when we were tiny...!
