Pull, pull, pull!

7yo and I made an insect that could climb up to the door handle!  We spied this on the back of a packet of cereal!  It actually worked quite well!!

I made some chestnut jam this morning from a  packet of chestnut purée.  It only made two tiny pots but it’s delicious.  We had it with raw apple slices for our mid morning snack.  Lunch the girls had beef burgers (homemade and frozen) with mash, corn and peas.  No afters as they both left the table! But a great snack mid afternoon of fresh raspberries and twiglets!  Separately!
Puzzles and they played and 7yo did some more writing practice.
After they left around 4:00 we went for our walk.  Yesterday I was delighted to see ducks and at least 6 geese at the lodge but today only two geese remained.  Maybe the two who had babies last year?
