Longer

There's me thinking we'd go for a short walk. I was therefore pleased to find this guy not far from home.  

Little Dog, for a change, decided not to refuse turning right and took me on a longer trail than I'd expected.  It meant happening across a sheep that had escaped into the lane as the farmer was spreading bales of hay for them.  I signalled to the farmer that she was out - we'd only push her further down the lane if we continued.  Unexpectedly, he came out of the field in his tractor, revved past the sheep and reversed back at an angle to round her up.  Very impressive to watch! 

I guess that should have been my photo but I was too in awe to think about it!
