Tengu
Another busy day at work but did at least get time to walk the dog both before and after work...
This tengu, mounted on wood, was purchased near Kurama Station, north of Kyoto, in September 2015 - eons ago it seems now. He (it?) doesn't really look like the very large version you'd find near the station... although that one's nose seems to fall off every few years so perhaps he's morphed a bit in the time since this souvenir was designed.
Not quite as exciting as the running robot we saw in the Honda museum in Tokyo but still - a nice reminder of a fun holiday... one day who knows.
Five women allowed to "look, not talk" at key meetings of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party... Oh the times they are a-changin'! Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly
