Reflections in glass(es)

Bee, best friend from work and I travelled further afield for lunch today to a very nice coffee shop in town and I had a very strange combination of 'soup of the day' which was beetroot, leek and potato; B just had the straightforward leek and potato; mine just tasted of beetroot, but then I am a fan of beetroot in all guises? (weird)!

Roy has just telephoned to say he is out of hospital, at last, after just over 3 months incarceration and an Aortic Porcine valve later. He sounded in such good spirits but not ready to come to band rehearsal with me on Sunday to play his clarinet.
