Agricultural Desert

Continuing on the agricultural theme I went looking for livestock today. There are plenty of sheep about and I even found a few hens which was quite a surprise. It's a busy time for farmers what with ploughing and sowing. In many cases the bank's will be on their backs demanding re-payments for plant and building loans. The stress must be extreme for those in the food producing sector.

This view is of the countryside in Aberdeenshire. It's a really beautiful landscape but its full of what appear to be rural factories. Despite the bright sunshine and high temperatures no cows or pigs were to be found. I sometimes wonder how we allowed things to get this far.
