Mangrove Roots and Shoots
ABC Radio National has a terrific program called This Working Life, on at some ungodly hour of the morning, which had a memorable segment on bad managers. One of types was the manager who was very good at what they were doing, and therefore promoted to manager. A lot of managers, it seems, are good at something else. Few actually have any qualifications in management.
I skived off work mid-afternoon and went for a walk along the Cooks River. The tide was in, covering most of the mangrove roots. I tried cropping this to cut the young mangrove shoot on the right, but lost clarity. It was a bit too abstract.
Thanks for hosting Ingeborg.
