Still Waters...

Despite an unseasonal chilly start to the day, it was a great morning for an early walk. There is a runner and a couple of friends with their Beagle dogs on the other side of the river. Maisie had a drink of nice clean water at the end of our walk. Then I encouraged her to have a brief paddle to wash her dirty feet before we set off for home. Later in the morning I met friend Rachel in town. We lunched at a cafe and afterwards she helped me sort out the size and style of a day pack to suit my future tramping needs.
