Level crossing
The level crossing at the station has manual gates. Someone is paid to sit for hours in a little hut and come out twice an hour to open the gates and close the gates. The person here is wearing orange high vis, and is largely hidden behind the red sign on the gates.
The twice-hourly excitement is not well distributed during the hour: the trains in each direction are only a few minutes apart.
Thank you for all your concern, care and kindnesses for Mr Perkins yesterday. He has had a steroid injection and had blood taken for testing purposes. His fur hasn’t even grown back since his last veterinary exploits nor the ones before that.
