According to the challenges page today is Joe Tree Day, a chance to pay tribute to the founder of the site, Joe Tree, by posting a picture of a tree. I'm still very new here but enjoying it lots so I thought I'd join in to show my appreciation for the site.
As the weather had got a bit miserable and uninspiring for going out & photographing actual real live trees by the time I finished work, I went with this portrait of the venerable horse chestnut that stands in the square next to Leicester's New Walk Museum, whose spreading branches I used to walk under on my way to and from the railway station in my pre Covid commuting days.
