Ash Wednesday Snowdrops

It's Ash Wednesday today and this morning we went to church. Normally there would be the Imposition of Ashes where we are marked with a cross from the ashes which are made by burning last year's Palm Sunday crosses. Of course while the virus is still with us that is not allowed. Instead after the service we were given a pot of snowdrops as a sign of life and hope. The ashes were put on the top of the soil in the pot.
