A milder morning; our Tesco driver (he was stuck in snow last week) came and went unhampered. The snow has had a fright. It was nice to walk on good paths afterwards.

A year ago yesterday we were at the home of Anne Frank in Amsterdam. It was somewhere I’d researched in advance. I felt privileged to see inside. My wife bought me this book in the museum shop and gave me it as Christmas present; such a lovely detailed book. It has various fold out sections and lots of original content. We’ve been watching Anne Frank diaries on TV, the series was recently re-shown. To think Society moans of freedoms and opportunities lost due to coronavirus restrictions....

The First Minister confirmed the ambition of limited school return will go ahead. She advised of no other relaxation of restrictions in Scotland; further update in 2 weeks and she signposted many restrictions will be in place at Easter, and beyond. Teachers in the family were on in-service day today; strategy for reopening featured in family chat - so did potential implications for our family wedding later.
