Home Grown Lemon Drizzle!
I harvested the few lemons that were hanging on the little lemon tree I bought at Morrison's last year. The tree lost all its leaves when it was in the cellar from last November and I thought it was dying. Around Christmas I asked Frank to take it upstairs to the bathroom and put it on the shelf under the window. It's time to prune it so I took the fruit off, the small ones looked quite shrivelled.
When I cut them open though, they were nice and juicy. I zested the two biggest ones and squeezed the juice out of all of them. I found a recipe for a vegan lemon cake and hey presto...there it is in the extra!
I hope the little tree grows some new leaves now it's pruned. There is one blossom bud!
I also made two white loaves, cleaned the upstairs windows and did some drawing.
A pleasantly busy day! :-D
It's been raining nearly all day and more tomorrow. :-/
Thanks for comments, stars and hearts.
