EGGERSLACK WOODS

The weather was decidedly warmer today.  Nothing to get excited about, still needed a coat etc but that bitter cold has gone.

Hubby said he had things to do at home, G can't walk too far but I decided I needed a leg stretch.  So I went into town, parked at Hampsfell Road Car Park.  There was a family there with a dog whom I wasn't sure weren't tourists as they didn't seem to know where anything was, but to be fair I could be mistaken.

I then walked up Hampsfell Road, past The Hampsfell House Hotel which is serving takeaways now.  Then right up to where it joins Spring Bank Road - it's just a bumpy track most of the way really.

This is the route Hubby and I took when we first moved to Grange and went all the way up to the Hampsfell Hospice, that is way too difficuilt for me and just about did me in last time.  I wasn't going up there today so turned back down the road and popped into Eggerslack Woods in two different spots .

Wow Hampsfell Road does keep going uphill but it's still a lovely walk, no traffic and only a couple of people.  In the extras is a collage of some of the things I saw on the way.

I'm glad I went out and feel better for having a leg stretch.

Do take are and stay safe all of you.  Thank you for dropping by and for all your lovely comments and stars etc.  I love reading them as well as your blips.
