7 years ago!!!

Wow can’t believe this was 7 years ago. My best friend and his brother both sadly died within 6 weeks of each other (48 & 42 years old) 8 years ago. As they were both Hearts fans and I am a Hibs fan, I decided to run the mighty deerstalker event at Traquair in their memory and said I would wear a Hearts strip!
I started raising money for cancer research, wrote to both Hibs and Hearts. Hibs very kindly gave me 2 tickets to a match, Hearts very kindly allowed myself, my best friends wife and son to visit Tynecastle and meet the players and manager.
In the end I raised just over £4000 for the charity.
Should also say that before I started training for the event it had been nearly 25 years since I had last ran!
