It's Sketchbook Monday again. I chose this piece today as the taller plants in the middle are somewhat reminiscent of ones I'm doing on one of the allotment pieces I'm working on at the moment. 

I love urban weeds and the forgotten little corners they inhabit and this was preparatory work for a piece done a couple of years ago, inspired by a vacant lot in Nottingham near to where I used to work that was full of all sorts of plants growing through concrete and gravel. Eventually it got resurfaced and used as a car park.
